The shape is one I keep coming back to: no handle, just a simple trimmed figure. Clean, no fuss.
The brown and blue brush strokes are where things get less “planned.” There’s no technique here, no rule I’m following, just intuitive strokes across the cup. I won’t pretend it’s some deep artistic process, but there is a real freedom in just letting the brush do its thing.
The brown is actually reused black clay, painted on. What I love is how clearly you can see the brush move through it, almost like a fingerprint. The blue does the opposite: soft, nearly watercolor-like. Together they just work.
All my cups are handmade. This means each one is unique and may vary in shape, size and colour from the images shown on my website. That variation is part of the charm of handmade ceramics, and I hope you’ll appreciate the individuality of each piece. I can’t guarantee you’ll receive the exact cup pictured, but I can promise that every cup is made to the same high standard and with the same attention to detail.
