This cup was made in collaboration with Wild Horses. They gave me one brief: make a horse cup. What that actually meant was up to me to figure out.
First came the horse head. After an embarrassing amount of failed attempts (and one very helpful Google search for “how to draw a horse head”), we were in business. Then came the real question: how do I make this feel like the café? Something you’d pick up and think, why does this exist, and also I love it.
That’s when it clicked. A long horse. Like a sausage dog, but make it horse. Either that or it could be a horse sucked into a black hole… i don’t know.. you decide.
All my cups are handmade. This means each one is unique and may vary in shape, size and colour from the images shown on my website. That variation is part of the charm of handmade ceramics, and I hope you’ll appreciate the individuality of each piece. I can’t guarantee you’ll receive the exact cup pictured, but I can promise that every cup is made to the same high standard and with the same attention to detail.
